BEIJING, July 7. /Dunyo IA/. Consular and humanitarian assistance has been extended in China’s Hebei Province to Uzbek citizen T.M., who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Citizen resides in China, is married to a Chinese national, and is raising two children. According to diplomats, the status of her health and medical situation has been placed under special supervision.
As part of the assistance effort, communication was established with the medical institution where the patient is undergoing treatment. Following negotiations, a reduction in the cost of vital medical procedures was successfully secured. In total, the patient has been prescribed a course of 16 chemotherapy sessions.
Particular attention was dedicated to the humanitarian aspect of the situation. It is noted that the Uzbek citizen had not had the opportunity to see her mother, who resides in the city of Andijan, for a prolonged period of approximately seven years. With the facilitation of the diplomatic mission, the mother’s travel along the Tashkent–Beijing–Tashkent route was organized through a sponsored airline ticket, enabling the long-awaited family reunion.
On July 5, personnel from the diplomatic mission visited the citizen's place of residence and treatment to assess her condition and extend moral support.
Furthermore, a dedicated meeting was organized in Hebei Province with female Uzbek citizens married to Chinese nationals. The event was attended by approximately 20 women, who were briefed on the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, as well as social protection measures for women and the relevant regulatory and legal framework.
Diplomats emphasized that safeguarding the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens abroad, alongside providing targeted support for women and facilitating their social adaptation and employment, remains under continuous and strict supervision.
