OMSK, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. Consul General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk Aslam Akbarov met with compatriots temporarily engaged in labor activities at an enterprise located in the “Dravert Quarters” microdistrict (neighbourhood), where a fire occurred on August 15^th, as well as with citizens working at the construction site of IE “Belman” in the center of Omsk, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, Uzbek nationals were advised to strictly observe all safety measures, including fire safety requirements, particularly when carrying out welding and other potentially hazardous work. The importance of complying with the laws and regulations of the country of residence, including migration requirements, was also emphasized. In the event of any violation of their rights and legitimate interests, citizens were urged to immediately contact the Consulate General of Uzbekistan for prompt assistance in resolving any issues that may arise.

Particular attention was drawn to the need for employers to ensure the timely payment of wages to Uzbek nationals.

Compatriots were informed that the Consulate General stands ready to continue providing all necessary assistance, both in obtaining the required documents and in protecting their rights and freedoms in Omsk Region.

Compatriots expressed their appreciation for the attention and recommendations extended to them, and emphasised the importance of maintaining regular contact with the Consulate General in Novosibirsk to address all matters related to their lawful stay in Omsk Region of the Russian Federation.
