Uzbekistan engages Chinese Businesses in Regional Investment Projects at Business Forum in Beijing

• 44BEIJING, August 17. /Dunyo IA/. A business forum dedicated to trade, economic and investment cooperation with China was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was organised jointly with the China Overseas Development Association (CODA).
Forum brought together Chinese companies operating in such fields as the digital economy, light industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, mining, energy, international trade, finance, environmental protection and logistics.
Participants were briefed on Uzbekistan’s socio-economic development, investment climate, conditions created for foreign investors, opportunities offered by free economic and industrial zones, as well as the country’s tourism potential.
Separate presentations focused on investment opportunities in Khorezm and Syrdarya regions, promising projects and the conditions available to foreign companies.
CODA Chairman He Zhenwei called on Chinese companies to make greater use of the opportunities created in Uzbekistan and implement projects that would contribute to expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Following the forum, G2B and B2B meetings were held, resulting in agreements on mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of areas. The sides also agreed to implement investment projects and organise business missions for Chinese entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan’s regions.

- Forum was of particular interest to Chinese companies, which received detailed information on the opportunities available to foreign investors in Uzbekistan. Presentations by the Syrdarya and Khorezm regions also provided us with valuable insights into the opportunities offered by the free economic and industrial zones in these regions.
