“Pakistan In The World” Newspaper: Transport Logistics becomes an important part of Uzbekistan - U.S. cooperation

ISLAMABAD, August 12. /Dunyo IA/. “Pakistan In The World” newspaper of Pakistan has published an article on the development of transport and logistics cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Article notes that bilateral cooperation encompasses transport, aviation, infrastructure, digital technologies, financial services and development of international transport corridors.
In 2025, 60,400 tons of cargo were transported between the two countries. During the first six months of 2026, the volume of cargo transportation amounted to 31,200 tons, of which 30,700 tons were imports from the United States.
Construction of a new international airport in Tashkent, the development of data centers, and the establishment of dry ports occupy a special place on the bilateral agenda. The new airport is expected to contribute to the growth of air cargo, e-commerce, express delivery, pharmaceutical transportation and international transit services.
Publication also highlights the direct Tashkent–New York–Tashkent route and cooperation between “Uzbekistan Airways” and “Boeing”. Taking into account the agreements concluded in 2025 and within the framework of the “C5+1” Summit, the number of Boeing 787-9 aircraft ordered by the national carrier has reached 22.
According to “Pakistan In The World”, cooperation in the “C5+1” format contributes to the development of trade, investment, supply chains, and transport connectivity in Central Asia, expanding Uzbekistan’s opportunities to diversify transport corridors, enhance its transit potential, and develop the country as a regional logistics hub.
