“Rzeczpospolita” Newspaper: Tashkent to become a major technology and financial hub in Central Asia

WARSAW, October 5. /Dunyo IA/.  Online portal of Poland’s authoritative Rzeczpospolita newspaper has published an article under the headline “Uzbekistan Wants to Become a Technological Hub of Central Asia”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Article states that Uzbekistan has presented a plan to attract technology companies, startups and investors. Country’s Minister of Digital Development presented the “Enterprise Uzbekistan” initiative during a business summit in Tashkent. Project aims to turn Uzbekistan into an important technological and financial hub of Central Asia. As part of the initiative, a special business zone based on English law is planned to be established, which is expected to facilitate the operations of international companies.

Additional incentives will include tax benefits applicable to both companies and their employees. In this way, Uzbekistan seeks to attract capital, new technologies and startups from around the world. The country is focusing on combining preferential business conditions with the development of the technology sector. If the plan is implemented, Uzbekistan could seek to leverage its geographical location to create a regional hub for digital services, finance and new technologies.
