BUDAPEST, October 5. /Dunyo IA/.  Embassy of Uzbekistan in Hungary hosted a meeting with Lóránt Péch, pianist, composer and founder of the Hungarian jazz group “Péch Lóránt Quartet”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, parties discussed prospects for the further development of cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary, as well as opportunities for the participation of Hungarian musicians in international cultural and concert events held in Uzbekistan.

Hungarian side expressed particular interest in the participation of the “Péch Lóránt Quartet” in the International Jazz Festival in Tashkent, which is tentatively scheduled to take place in 2027.

“Péch Lóránt Quartet” is a Hungarian jazz group established in 2023. Quartet's music combines modern acoustic jazz with elements of traditional jazz and classical music, with original music and improvisation occupying a significant place in the group's creative work.

Ensemble actively participates in the musical life of Hungary and performs at well-known jazz festivals and venues, as well as representing the Hungarian jazz scene at international events. In 2026, the “Péch Lóránt Quartet” was honoured with the Audience Award at the “Müpa Jazz Showcase”.

Meeting marked another step in the development of cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Hungary and opens new opportunities for professional interaction and creative exchange between the musicians of the two countries.
