ABU DHABI, October 29. /Dunyo IA/.   A delegation of Khorezm region, led by Governor Jurabek Rakhimov, visited the UAE on a working visit aimed at attracting investment and expanding trade and economic cooperation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE, meetings were held with representatives of government structures, chambers of commerce and industry and major companies of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. The parties discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in industry, agriculture, tourism, education and the innovation sphere.

Business forums were held in the three emirates, where the economic potential of Khorezm region, conditions for foreign investors and promising investment projects were presented. Event in Dubai was attended by representatives of more than 300 local companies.

At the meeting with the current ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the development of interregional ties and support for mutually beneficial investment initiatives were discussed.

Special attention was paid to promoting the historical and cultural heritage of Khorezm, increasing tourist flow, attracting modern manufacturing technologies, and expanding cooperation in the field of education.

Within the framework of the visit, the delegation held talks with the heads of major companies, including “Guardian Glass”, “Al Ameri Food Industries” and “Al Hamra Holding”. The parties reviewed opportunities for implementing joint projects and developing long-term business partnerships.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached on strengthening business contacts, continuing exchange of delegations and jointly developing promising investment projects.
