MOSCOW, September 16. /Dunyo IA/.  A project to establish the “Bes Qala Mining Valley” special mining zone, with a total value of $5.11 billion, is being implemented in Karakalpakstan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with the Russian news agency “RBC”.

Project envisages the construction of data centers for cryptocurrency mining and is aimed at enhancing the region’s investment attractiveness, creating new jobs and developing “green” energy.

Residents of the mining zone are exempt from taxation on income derived from mining activities until January 1^st, 2035. They will also be able to obtain electricity from the unified power system or renewable energy sources, including hydrogen power plants.

As part of the development of the region’s energy infrastructure, a project to construct a $3.3 billion wind power plant is also being implemented in partnership with “ACWA Power”.

According to “RBC”, implementation of these projects will contribute to the development of digital infrastructure and green energy, attracting investment and enhancing the economic potential of Karakalpakstan.
