“Islamabad Post”: Uzbekistan establishes an Independent International Commercial Court

ISLAMABAD, July 22. /Dunyo IA/. Pakistani newspaper “Islamabad Post” published an article by Dildora Kamalova, Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the signing of the Constitutional Law “On the Tashkent International Financial Centre”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Publication notes that the establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Centre is secured at the level of a constitutional law, which provides a high level of legal guarantees for investors. It is emphasized that the legal system of the centre will be based on English law and the principles of justice of England and Wales.
Special attention is paid to the creation of the independent Tashkent International Commercial Court, which will adjudicate disputes involving the center's participants. Judges can be appointed from among international specialists in the field of commercial law, finance, and arbitration.
Article also states that participants of the centre will be guaranteed the free movement of capital, the ability to conduct transactions with foreign currency and digital assets in the prescribed manner, as well as the free repatriation of profits.
According to the author, the establishment of the Tashkent International Financial Centre is a strategic move aimed at integrating Uzbekistan into the global financial system and developing a modern investment environment that meets international standards.
