— Today, we took part in the opening of the Beijing International Book Fair and the Special Book Award ceremony.
We are pleased that the Publishing and Printing Creative House “Uzbekistan”, with its 102-year history, was among the award recipients. We have made an important contribution to publishing the works of President Xi Jinping and introducing them to Uzbek readers.
Thanks to the close and trust-based relations between the leaders of our countries, the Uzbekistan–China strategic partnership is developing across all directions.
Books undoubtedly serve as a bridge for further strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between our peoples.
We are aware that, on the initiative of President of China, great importance is attached to promoting reading and building a reading society in the country.
It is encouraging that in Uzbekistan as well, the President of our country is prioritizing encouraging young people to read books and fostering a love of knowledge among them.”
