TASHKENT, June 19. /Dunyo IA/. Tarek Mansour, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, who is participating in the 5^th Tashkent International Investment Forum in the capital of Uzbekistan, shared his views in an interview with a correspondent of Dunyo IA:

— Grateful for the opportunity of being part of the forum and of being present here. I am also grateful for the high quality of the panel discussion that I had the chance to be part of. It has been on governance and on how it is evolving, and on the fact that imperative of governance is continuing to be and is truly getting strengthened in a very fast-changing world. This offers excellent opportunities for companies and countries such as Uzbekistan.

Many of the topics we discussed today on governance actually resonated from a global perspective. As I travel and learn about different countries and companies, I would assume they are also very relevant for local opportunities.

We also talked about the governance at the national level. For example, representative of Uzbekistan, Mr. Abdulla Abdukadirov talked about the importance of a national framework for governance from an investor perspective, and how investors are looking for a very deliberate and practical approach to embedding governance principles.

What I am learning from the facts and the track record in Uzbekistan has been positive. As mentioned in the panel, there is a lot of momentum and many positive opportunities in this country as well.
