TASHKENT, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. In January-March 2026, 631,234 citizens of Uzbekistan travelled abroad, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the National Statistics Committee, compared to the same period last year, this figure increased by almost 111.6 thousand people, or nearly 7%, which indicates the continued growth of population mobility and the expansion of travel geography.
The most popular destinations were neighbouring countries and traditional tourist centers. The top 10 included:
Kyrgyzstan — 660,579 people
Kazakhstan — 284,024 people
Tajikistan — 282,040 people
Saudi Arabia — 136,060 people
Russia — 88,267 people
Turkey — 52,199 people
UAE — 28,125 people
China — 15,844 people
Thailand — 13,839 people
Egypt — 12,186 people
Experts note that the high share of trips to neighboring states is explained by active trade, economic, and humanitarian ties, while the growing interest in long-haul destinations is due to the expansion of air travel and tourism offers.
Overall, the dynamic growth of outbound travel among Uzbekistan citizens reflects the strengthening of the country's openness, the rising welfare of the population, and the expansion of international contacts, which in the future will contribute to the further development of the tourism industry and business activity.
