PRAGUE, April 29. /Dunyo IA/. Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has embarked on an official tour of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, accompanied by representatives of leading local economic and industrial structures, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing the Czech news agency ČTK.

The delegation includes around 50 major Czech companies from the defense and engineering sectors, among them the defense holding CSG, explosives manufacturer Explosia, engineering firms Frýdlant, and the Škoda Group. Also represented are Aero Vodochody Aerospace, Česká zbrojovka, and AŽD Praha.

According to organizers, the main objective of the visit is to expand Czech exports and identify new investment and technological opportunities in the region. The participating companies operate in the fields of energy, transport, engineering, and defense industry.

During the tour, Prime Minister Babiš is scheduled to take part in business forums and hold high-level meetings in all three countries. In Azerbaijan, he will meet with President Ilham Aliyev; in Kazakhstan, with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; and in Uzbekistan, with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The Czech side considers Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan promising partners for cooperation, particularly in energy, transport, infrastructure, and defense sectors. The region is noted for its significant reserves of oil, gas, and coal, which are seen as creating additional opportunities for partnership.
