On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, a charity event for compatriots organized in Cairo

CAIRO, June 3. /Dunyo IA/. An event on the occasion of Eid al-Adha was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, featuring compatriots living and working in Egypt, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Around 60 citizens of Uzbekistan temporarily residing in Egypt participated in the charity event, including representatives of the older generation, individuals in need of social support, students, young scientists and families of compatriots.

During the opening of the event, the Embassy staff congratulated the participants on the Eid al-Adha holiday and emphasized its significance in strengthening values such as mercy, generosity, and mutual assistance. It was noted that this holiday contributes to the strengthening of peace, harmony and solidarity in society, while calling upon people to perform good deeds and support those in need.

The participants were also provided with information regarding the support measures available to citizens of Uzbekistan abroad, including in Egypt, the consular and legal assistance provided, and the ongoing efforts to protect their rights and legitimate interests. It was emphasized that maintaining a continuous dialogue with compatriots and reviewing their proposals and needs remains one of the critical priorities of state policy.

Within the framework of the event, the ongoing efforts in Uzbekistan to strengthen the principles of humanism, mutual respect, mercy, and social solidarity were highlighted. On behalf of the compatriots, gratitude was expressed for the attention and support provided to the citizens of the country both within the republic and abroad.

The event concluded with friendly conversation and the serving of national cuisine to the guests in an atmosphere of mutual respect and unity.
