Minor Uzbek Citizens Repatriated from Russia After Facing Difficult Social Circumstances

MOSCOW, February 3 /“Dunyo” IA/. Six children left without parental care in Russia have been repatriated to Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and ombudsmen from both countries, “Dunyo” IA's correspondent reports.

Two of the children were returned from Saint Petersburg, while the others came from Moscow and the Moscow Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Kabardino-Balkar Republic.

Officials from the ministries and agencies involved coordinated efforts to verify the children’s identities, prepare the necessary documentation for their repatriation, conduct medical examinations, and address other logistical matters.

As a result of these measures, the Embassy, in cooperation with partner organizations, achieved important practical outcomes in safeguarding the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens, particularly minors, and ensuring their social protection.

In January 2026, a total of 20 minors were repatriated, and work in this area continues.
