BELLEVUE, September 24. /Dunyo IA/.   “Cross-Cultural Wear & Marketplace” international cultural event was held in the city of Bellevue, Washington, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was supported by the City of Bellevue and brought together representatives from Uzbekistan, India, China, Iran, Mexico and African nations, who presented their national attire, cuisine, art, crafts and cultural traditions.

General Consulate of Uzbekistan in the city of Seattle presented a special exhibition dedicated to the country's historical and cultural heritage, national traditions, and modern development.

Guests were informed about the transformations underway in Uzbekistan, development of the tourism industry, and new opportunities for foreign travelers. Special attention was focused on the historic cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, whose ancient history and cultural heritage attract growing interest from tourists.

During the presentation, the promotion of Uzbek national clothing, handicrafts, and other products abroad was also discussed. In particular, the possibility of establishing showrooms in various countries to display national attire, as well as products of Uzbek brands, designers and artisans, was highlighted.

Uzbekistan exhibition featured traditional clothing, doppi caps, national musical instruments, handicrafts, and ceramics, alongside books on the history, art, and culture of the country.

Attendees had the opportunity to taste Uzbek national cuisine and experience the traditions of national hospitality. A performance of Uzbek national dance as part of the cultural program generated significant interest.

At the conclusion of the event, gratitude was expressed to the organizers and the City of Bellevue for the initiative, which united representatives of diverse cultures and contributed to the promotion of mutual understanding and respect.
