SEATTLE, August 7. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the General Consulate of Uzbekistan held negotiations with the leadership of “Korn Ferry”, one of the largest American providers of human capital management and recruitment services, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Meeting was attended by Suellen Tomlinson, Senior Client Partner, Middle East & Africa, Healthcare & Education Services at Korn Ferry; Mitul Modi, Senior Client Partner, Global Healthcare Services at Korn Ferry and Liz Bickley, Senior Client Partner and Chief Operating Officer of “Korn Ferry Health”.

Primary focus of the negotiations centred on evaluating opportunities for the additional training of Uzbek nursing professionals in compliance with US healthcare system standards, their subsequent certification and licensing and the organization of their employment within American medical facilities on a regulated, secure and mutually beneficial basis.

American side was briefed on the ongoing structural reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at the systematic organization of external labour migration, establishing centralized cooperation with foreign employers, providing targeted training for specialists and ensuring the protection of their rights and legitimate interests abroad.

Representatives of the American company noted that the US healthcare system is experiencing a significant demand for male and female nurses, as well as allied health and clinical-technical specialists. According to them, many medical organizations are open to international recruitment and are particularly interested in foreign specialists who possess a high level of clinical training, a strong command of the English language, and meet the requirements of the American licensing system.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed that “Korn Ferry” will evaluate the specific staffing requirements of potential employers, in-demand specialties, candidate qualification criteria, and training parameters. Furthermore, a comparative analysis is planned to assess the disparities between the nursing education and training systems of Uzbekistan and the United States, encompassing language proficiency, clinical practice, credentials recognition, licensing and immigration requirements.

Parties also noted the feasibility of launching the project in the format of a pilot program with a small group of specialists. Subsequently, taking into account its outcomes and the needs of American employers, a step-by-step expansion of the scale of recruiting medical workers from Uzbekistan is anticipated.
