Tashkent hosts talks on strengthening Uzbekistan - Sweden Cooperation in science and education

ТASHKENT, February 28. /Dunyo IA/. As part of his working visit to Uzbekistan, Andreas Göthenberg, Executive Director of the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT), talks were held at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the further strengthening of scientific cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden, the launch of joint educational programs, and the enhancement of the institutional capacity of higher education institutions. In particular, special attention was paid to the development of joint research projects in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), digital technologies and data-driven innovation, as well as the integration of Uzbekistan's higher education and research institutions into European research and innovation ecosystems.
Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on developing advanced digital competencies through academic mobility programs and the training of talented personnel, implementing effective “university-industry” collaboration models based on Sweden's innovative experience, as well as exploring opportunities for innovation and investment partnerships in scientific cooperation.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached to promote promising projects aimed at ensuring the active participation of Uzbekistan's higher education institutions in the global educational and scientific space.
