WARSAW, April 22. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation led by the Mayor of Plock, Andrzej Nowakowski, visited Uzbekistan with the support of the Embassy, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The visit aimed to strengthen interregional cooperation and identify new areas for practical engagement.

As part of the program, the delegation held meetings with Deputy khokim of Tashkent region Otabek Sultanbekov and khokim of Nurafshon Ilkhom Kilichkhanov. The discussions focused on expanding trade and economic ties, attracting investment, developing industrial cooperation, as well as enhancing collaboration in cultural, humanitarian and tourism sectors.

The delegation also visited a free economic zone in Tashkent region, where presentations were delivered on the region’s industrial potential, modern production facilities, conditions created for foreign investors, logistics capabilities and export opportunities. The Polish side expressed strong interest in ongoing projects and readiness to engage in practical cooperation across several areas.

The visitors toured the enterprises UzCaseMash and Alpikus, where they were introduced to production processes and investment opportunities.

Following the meetings, the parties agreed to establish and develop sister-city relations between Nurafshon and Plock.

During the visit, the delegation also explored the Center of Islamic Civilization and historical and cultural landmarks of Tashkent, highly appreciating Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential.

In addition, Polish representatives held meetings with the leadership of Samarkand region, where further initiatives to expand cooperation were discussed.
