BERLIN, April 19. /"Dunyo" IA/. The “Uzbek-German Forum on Dual and Vocational Education: Competitive and Qualified Workforce” was held in the capital of Germany, "Dunyo" IA's correspondent reports.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan together with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the “iMOVE” initiative. Representatives of German ministries, federal agencies, chambers of commerce, heads of educational institutions, and recruitment companies took part in the discussions.
The key objective of the meeting was to strengthen partnership in the field of training specialists, introduce the German dual education system, and develop mechanisms for legal labor migration.
Opening remarks were delivered by Ambassador Dilshod Akhatov, the Minister of Social Affairs of Thuringia Katharina Schenk, and the Head of the Agency for Vocational Education of Uzbekistan Azimjon Khusanov. The speakers emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation in training personnel that meets the demands of the global labor market.
The agenda covered issues such as the modernization of the education system in the republic, the launch of joint programs, and the creation of transparent pathways for youth employment abroad. Special attention was paid to the legal protection of compatriots in Germany and the integration of specialists with Uzbek diplomas into the European economy. Participants thoroughly examined the structure of financing and management of training based on the successful German model.
A practical outcome of the forum was direct B2B negotiations. Following the meetings, representatives of the relevant agency of Uzbekistan and its regional divisions signed around 60 memorandums and agreements with partners from Germany. These agreements are aimed at launching new projects, improving the quality of teaching, and expanding internships for Uzbek students.
The dialogue that took place became an important platform that allowed bilateral cooperation in the educational sphere to be brought to a qualitatively new level.
