Uzbek citizens affected by boat accident in Thailand receive necessary assistance

ТASHKENT, January 13. /Dunyo IA/. On 11 January, a sightseeing boat capsized near Phuket Island in Thailand, carrying citizens of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the telegram channel of the Press Secretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Akhror Burkhanov, three citizens of Uzbekistan were on board the boat at the time of the incident. Two of them sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local medical facility. After receiving the necessary medical care, the injured parties fully recovered and were discharged from the hospital in accordance with established procedures.
It was also reported that all medical and related expenses were fully covered by the insurance funds of the company that owns the boat.
Since the incident, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok has maintained continuous contact with local law enforcement and healthcare institutions, providing necessary consular support and monitoring the situation.
The situation remains under the control of Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission.
