MUSCAT, July 15. /Dunyo IA/.  On the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, a visit of an Omani business mission to our country took place, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Delegation of 17 entrepreneurs was led by Saif bin Nasser Al-Taiwani, Member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of its branch in Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate.

Purpose of the visit was to develop interregional trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Oman, increase the export of Uzbek products to Oman, as well as elaborate on joint investment projects.

In Samarkand, representatives of Omani business held meetings with the management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Samarkand Region and local entrepreneurs. Delegation also visited major companies in the region, where mutually beneficial business contacts were established.

Parties discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in industry, infrastructure, tourism, food security and other priority areas.

Furthermore, in Tashkent, the delegation met with Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Shokhrukh Gulamov, the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, business representatives, the Ambassador of Oman to Tashkent, as well as the management of the “UzOman Investment Company”.
