SERDANG, September 7. /Dunyo IA/.   Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim visited the pavilion of Uzbekistan at the MAHA 2026 international agriculture, horticulture, and agrotourism exhibition, which was held from August 28^th to September 6^th in the city of Serdang, Selangor State, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Together with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia, Mohamad bin Sabu, head of government familiarized himself with the national pavilions of foreign countries, including the exposition of Uzbekistan.

Prime Minister was informed that Uzbekistan is participating in the MAHA 2026 exhibition for the first time, presenting domestically produced agricultural and food products, as well as crafts by national artisans.

Anwar Ibrahim noted with satisfaction the distinct taste and high quality of Uzbek fruits, including fresh and dried varieties, as well as national dishes, emphasizing the competitiveness of Uzbekistan's products on the international market.

Head of government expressed support for the joint project between Uzbekistan and the Malaysian company “Mearque Group” on the utilization of drones on agricultural lands.

He also backed the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security of Malaysia to open its representative office in Tashkent to elevate the agrarian cooperation between the two countries to a new level and to accelerate the exchange of experience and technologies.

Within the framework of the visit, Anwar Ibrahim participated in the closing ceremony of MAHA 2026. According to him, by the ninth day, the exhibition had been visited by about 4.3 million people, featuring more than 2,000 exhibitors, and 97 agreements worth a total of $2.6 billion were signed.
