ТASHKENT, December 29. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yousef Al Otaibi who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, President of Uzbekistan specially noted the fruitful activities and personal contribution of the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the development and strengthening of the comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.

The established systematic dialogue and active contacts at various levels were noted with satisfaction. Trade turnover, direct investment, and the number of joint ventures are growing dynamically. The portfolio of joint projects with leading Saudi companies has exceeded $27 billion.

Projects and initiatives are being implemented in green energy, agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure development, and other priority areas.

Cultural and humanitarian exchange has intensified. In October this year, the Days of Uzbek Culture were held with great success in Saudi Arabia. Our country participated in the Riyadh International Book Fair.

The Leader of Uzbekistan conveyed his gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia for creating favourable conditions for our citizens to perform the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.

At the conclusion of the meeting, for his significant contribution to strengthening the friendship and multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, the President of Uzbekistan awarded Yousef Al Otaibi the Order of "Dustlik".

The Ambassador expressed his deep gratitude to the Leader of our country for the high appreciation of his diplomatic mission and also thanked him for the comprehensive support for the development of full-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
