President of Uzbekistan receives Russian delegation

ТАSHKENT, October 7. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Russian Federation led by Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the regular meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Council of Regions of the two countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, at the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the Leader of Uzbekistan.

Meeting focused on the practical implementation of agreements reached during high-level meetings.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed the fruitful outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting and the third Council of Regions, held the day before.

The sides noted with satisfaction the steady growth in mutual trade and progress in cooperation projects in industry, energy, metallurgy, the peaceful use of nuclear energy and other sectors.

They emphasized the importance of taking coordinated measures to increase mutual trade, accelerate joint projects within industrial zones and continue active contacts between regions and businesses.
