Uzbekistan and Belarus agree to strengthen cooperation in pharmaceuticals

MINSK, October 7. /Dunyo IA/. Within the framework of the “INNOPROM. Belarus” International Industrial Exhibition in Minsk, negotiations were held between representatives of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of Uzbekistan and heads of leading pharmaceutical companies of Belarus, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Parties discussed the expansion of cooperation in the sector, the development of new projects and their practical implementation.

Special attention was paid to the localization of the production of modern and high-tech medicinal products in Uzbekistan that are currently imported, as well as joint entry into the markets of third countries and the transfer of advanced technologies.

Negotiators also reviewed the opportunities for launching joint investment projects in the pharmaceutical sphere.

Following the meetings, an agreement was reached to continue regular dialogue and work on joint initiatives in the designated areas.
