President of Uzbekistan extends condolences to the leadership of India following heavy rainfall and storms in Uttar Pradesh causing loss of life and injuries

TASHKENT, May 15. /Dunyo IA/. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter of condolence to the President of India Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the loss of lives and severe injuries caused by heavy rainfall and storms in Uttar Pradesh, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with the Telegram channel of the Head of State’s Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.
“Head of our State expressed his deep condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery”, - the report says.
According to the “RBC” news agency, the death toll from a severe storm in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has reached 111, with an additional 72 people injured. On the evening of May 13, a dust storm accompanied by rain and thunder swept through several districts of the state. Some victims died under collapsed structures and fallen trees, while others were killed by lightning strikes.
