Cooperation with Chinese Provinces and Regions expands

NANJING, August 10. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing and the General Consulate in Shanghai organized a business forum in China's Jiangsu Province dedicated to trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Event was attended by representatives of ministries and departments of Jiangsu Province, chambers of commerce and industry, business circles and leading companies.
During the forum, it was noted that strategic relations between Uzbekistan and China have been developing dynamically and steadily in recent years. It was emphasized that mutual visits of delegations from the regions of the two countries, as well as representatives of business circles, have intensified.
Event participants were presented with presentations dedicated to the favourable investment climate created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, trade and economic potential of the regions, leading sectors of the economy, opportunities provided by free economic and industrial zones, as well as the country’s tourism potential. Particular attention was paid to the activities and capabilities of the free economic and industrial zones of Uzbekistan.
Participants of the forum were also briefed on the priority areas of bilateral cooperation, including the ongoing major joint projects and future plans aimed at further expanding economic ties.
Chinese entrepreneurs expressed their readiness to provide comprehensive assistance in attracting additional investments into the economy of Uzbekistan, as well as in expanding the export of new and high-quality products.
Chen Xiaodong, a representative of the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, noted that investment, trade and economic cooperation between China and Central Asian countries has been developing year after year.
In particular, a significant increase in the volume of imports and exports between Jiangsu Province and Uzbekistan in 2025 was noted, as well as the fact that the province's leading companies have invested in the implementation of a number of projects in our country.
Following the forum, negotiations were held in G2B and B2B formats, resulting in agreements on cooperation in several mutually beneficial areas.
Parties also agreed on the implementation of investment projects with Chinese companies in various sectors, as well as on organizing business missions of Chinese entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan.
