Swiss media highlights Namangan as an emerging key hub of cultural tourism in Central Asia

GENEVA, May 19. /Dunyo IA/. The Swiss digital publication “Diva International” and the magazine “International Diplomat” have published an analytical article dedicated to the development of Uzbekistan’s tourism and cultural potential, as well as the international significance of the upcoming Namangan Flower Festival, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As noted in the publications, Namangan is increasingly emerging as one of the most dynamically developing centres of cultural tourism in Central Asia. The authors emphasise that the organisation of the International Flower Festival reflects Uzbekistan’s consistent strategy to promote its national cultural heritage on the global stage and to further expand international tourism cooperation.

Particular attention in the articles is given to the scale of the upcoming 65th edition of the festival, which, according to organisers’ estimates, is expected to attract around one million international visitors. Journalists note that such figures reflect the growing international interest in the region and the strengthening of its position on the global tourism map.

The publications also emphasise that the Namangan Flower Festival has long evolved beyond a local event, transforming into a multi-level international platform that brings together cultural initiatives, educational projects and business forums. Special attention is paid to events related to ecology, innovation and sustainable development, which are included in this year’s programme.

Swiss media further highlight the festival’s cultural and humanitarian impact. In their assessment, the organisation of such large-scale events contributes to strengthening intercultural dialogue, advancing people-to-people diplomacy and enhancing Uzbekistan’s positive international image.

In conclusion, the authors underline that the International Flower Festival in Namangan stands as a vivid example of how regional initiatives can acquire international significance and become an integral part of the global cultural space.
