Publication emphasizes that cooperation between Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan in the transport and logistics sector is becoming a vital factor in ensuring the resilience of regional trade, diversifying transport routes and deepening economic integration across Eurasia.

As noted in the article, due to its strategic geographical location, Azerbaijan serves as a key link connecting Central Asia with the countries of the South Caucasus, Türkiye, and Europe across the Caspian Sea. In turn, the Central Asian states provide Azerbaijan with access to the dynamically developing markets of China and South Asia. This complementarity creates a solid foundation for long-term cooperation in the transport and logistics sector.

According to the “The World News” Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) has seen a steady rise in interest, with total freight volume exceeding 4.7 million tons by the end of 2025. Over the same five-year period, Uzbek cargo transit along this route doubled, reaching 1.3 million tons.

Furthermore, establishment of the Eurasian Transport Route Association in 2024, with the participation of the railway administrations of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye and Tajikistan, formed an institutional platform for the rapid elimination of logistical barriers along this transport corridor.
