GUANGZHOU, October 11. /Dunyo IA/.   Representatives of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and China discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of education during an online meeting organized at the initiative of the General Consultative of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Negotiations were attended by representatives of the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), Uzbekistan State University of World Languages and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.

Parties reviewed opportunities for cooperation in foreign language teaching, the organization of academic exchanges, development of scientific research programs and implementation of joint educational projects.

Chinese side also expressed interest in establishing an Uzbek Language Center at GDUFS, utilizing the educational and scientific potential of the participating universities.

Following the meeting, parties agreed to sign memorandums of cooperation in the near future and to intensify joint efforts to achieve practical results.
