Uzbek and Latvian Specialists discuss prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the pharmaceutical sector

RIGA, September 7. /Dunyo IA/.  An online meeting was held with the participation of specialists from the “Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety” State Institution, alongside Jelena Volperte, Director of Regulatory Affairs at the Latvian company “Olpha”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, prospects for cooperation in two areas proposed by the Center were discussed: studying modern international approaches and standards in the field of clinical trials regulation and improving the quality expertise of registration dossiers for medicines in accordance with the requirements of “ICH CTD Module 3”.

Jelena Volperte expressed interest in cooperating with the Uzbek side in these areas and announced the company's readiness to conduct seminars and practical training sessions for the Center's specialists.

Furthermore, the parties exchanged contact information of the responsible specialists and agreed that upon the submission of the tentatively agreed preferred dates for the training sessions by the Uzbek side, they would determine their program, format, duration and other organizational matters, as well as proceed with their arrangement.

“Olpha” JSC is a pharmaceutical company that has been operating since 1972. The company's headquarters is located in the Latvian city of Olaine. Company employs more than 850 specialists. “Olpha” manufactures over 60 dosage forms, 25 active pharmaceutical ingredients and more than 20 types of intermediate products. The company operates in such therapeutic areas as cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, psychiatry, endocrinology, oncology and other fields.
