WARSAW, June 13. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Director of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry, Nozimjon Kholmurodov, paid a working visit to Poland, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, negotiations were held with representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), the Polish-Asian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as major industry associations and companies, including “LPP S.A.”.

The parties noted the significant potential of Uzbekistan as one of Poland’s key partners in Central Asia. It was emphasized that Uzbek textile products account for around 30% of Poland’s imports, and that the establishment of a textile hub and product exhibition in the city of Łódź is expected to further increase these figures.

Within the framework of the visit, an Uzbekistan–Poland business forum on light industry was held in Warsaw with the participation of more than 80 companies. The forum presented Uzbekistan’s reforms, measures to improve the investment climate and expand export potential, as well as modern production capacities of the textile industry.

Following the forum, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the Agency for the Development of Light Industry of Uzbekistan and Polish industry structures, and agreements were reached on expanding business missions, investment projects, and the use of financial instruments of Polish banks.

It was also agreed to develop cooperation with “LPP S.A.”, including orders for 1 million units of products for the brands “Reserved” and “Mohito”, as well as the involvement of experts to improve the qualifications of specialists in Uzbek enterprises.
