TASHKENT, October 11. /Dunyo IA/. Within the framework of cooperation with the Swedish University of Borås, Professor Nawar Kadi from the university's Swedish School of Textiles and head of the “Advanced Textile Structures” research group visited Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, scientific seminars and master classes featuring Professor Nawar Kadi were held at the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

Scientific seminars and practical sessions were organized for the faculty, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduate students of the institute. The events focused on the utilization of sustainable fibres, recycling of textile waste, modern yarn production technologies, advanced textile structures and composite materials.

Furthermore, Swedish scientist held working meetings with representatives of the institute's relevant departments. The parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint scientific research projects, development of new types of products from recycled fibres, organization of academic counselling and preparation of international scientific publications.

Events held are aimed at strengthening ties between higher education institutions and scientific research organizations of Uzbekistan and Sweden, developing innovative solutions in the textile industry and expanding the areas of scientific cooperation.
