STOCKHOLM, October 10. /Dunyo IA/. Talks were held in Tashkent between a delegation of the National Board of Trade Sweden and representatives of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation and other relevant organizations, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed ways to improve Uzbekistan’s national technical regulation system and held a training seminar for industry specialists.
Participants examined the application of Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA) mechanisms in the development of technical regulations, as well as modern approaches to incorporating risk-based considerations into conformity assessment procedures. Practical aspects of RIA were explored using existing regulations on toy safety and electromagnetic compatibility as examples.
The cooperation aims to align Uzbekistan’s technical regulation system with international practices, particularly those of Europe, while improving its effectiveness and transparency.
