MARIBOR, June 12. /Dunyo IA/. Slovenian Global Forum - one of the country's leading platforms on issues of international economic cooperation, foreign trade and investment attraction—took place in the city of Maribor, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Within the framework of the forum, a separate presentation of the trade, economic, and investment potential of Uzbekistan was held. The participants were presented with information on the economic reforms being carried out in the country, measures to improve the investment climate and prospects for expanding cooperation with European partners.

On the sidelines of the event, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Slovenia with residence in Budapest Oybek Shakhavdinov, held meetings with representatives of state bodies, business, and scientific circles of Slovenia. During the negotiations, prospects for cooperation in the fields of innovation, geology, digital technologies, ecology and scientific research were discussed.

It was noted that the held events confirm the growing interest of Slovenian official and business circles in the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Preliminary agreements were also reached on organizing a visit of a delegation of Slovenian business circles to Uzbekistan in October 2026 and coordinating it with the “InnoWeek-2026” international innovation week.
