NEW YORK, February 12. /Dunyo IA/. On the initiative of civic activist Otabek Makhkamov and with the active participation of the Uzbek diaspora in the United States, a humanitarian campaign was organized in New York to provide assistance to the Children’s Psychoneurological Hospital named after U.Kurbanov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

As part of the initiative, members of the diaspora came together to support children in need of specialized medical care. Funds raised were used to purchase modern medical devices, equipment for diagnostic and rehabilitation procedures, as well as specialized therapeutic nutrition and consumables.

The equipment has already been delivered to the hospital and is being actively used by medical staff, enhancing the quality of care provided to children with neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions.

The humanitarian campaign was carried out with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York and stands as yet another example of the solidarity of compatriots abroad, as well as their genuine commitment to contributing to the development of the healthcare system in their homeland.

Organizers emphasized that similar diaspora-led initiatives will continue in the future.
