MINSK, September 16. /Dunyo IA/.  News portal of the Belarusian television and radio company, “News.by”, has published an article entitled “How a Farmer from Uzbekistan Is Building a Business on Belarusian Land”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that the dynamic development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus is opening up new opportunities not only for trade, but also for the implementation of major investment and interregional projects in the agricultural sector.

A vivid example of effective cooperation is the peasant farm established by Sanzhar Madamov, a resident of Namangan Region, in Vitebsk Region of Belarus. Initially planning to establish a business in the textile sector, the entrepreneur recognized the region’s high agricultural potential and resource base and shifted his focus to livestock farming.

Farm currently uses more than 400 hectares of leased land, while its sheep population, including Central Asian breeds, has grown from 100 to 1,200 head. During a recent visit by a delegation from Namangan Region to the farm, plans were outlined to increase the livestock population to 5,000 head by 2028, as well as to involve Uzbek investors in leasing vacant production facilities in the region. Looking ahead, the farmer also plans to develop agro-ecotourism and horse breeding.

Publication emphasizes that the success of this project demonstrates the complementarity of the economies of the two countries, comprehensive support for entrepreneurial initiatives at the local level, and the strengthening of traditional friendly ties between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
