DOHA, September 4. /Dunyo IA/. The “Ektashif: Uzbekistan” exhibition dedicated to Uzbekistan’s cultural and artistic heritage will open at the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The exhibition was reported by Qatari media outlets, including the “QNA” news agency, “The Peninsula” and “Gulf Times,” as well as the “Marhaba” and “Al-Monitor” information portals.
The exhibition is organized by Qatar Museums in cooperation with the Museum of Islamic Art and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. It will feature new works by seven Qatari artists, created following their creative journeys to Uzbekistan in 2025. The exhibition will run until November 28.
As part of their trips, the artists visited Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, explored historical monuments and traditional crafts, and took part in hands-on workshops with Uzbek artisans.
The works on display reflect the architecture of the Temurid era, traditional ceramics and weaving, as well as other forms of Uzbek applied art. The organizers note that Uzbekistan’s ancient artistic traditions continue to inspire contemporary artists and contribute to the development of cultural dialogue between the two countries.
