SAMARKAND, September 4. /Dunyo IA/. The World Summit “Investing in Child Well-being: Towards Sustainable and Equitable Development for Future Generations” will be held in Samarkand on October 21–22, 2026, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The summit will bring together representatives from more than 100 countries, including political leaders, ministers, international organizations, experts, business and civil society representatives, academics, as well as children and adolescents.
Today, children are among those most severely affected by the consequences of global challenges, including armed conflicts, climate change, economic instability and growing inequality.
The discussions will focus on key areas shaping the future of generations to come, including child-centered social protection and well-being, the development of child protection systems and comprehensive support, accessible and sustainable healthcare, combating childhood cancer, as well as joint solutions in early childhood development and inclusive education.
The summit will also host the 2nd International Congress of Pediatric Oncology.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting is expected to be the adoption of the Samarkand Declaration on Investing in Child Well-being, which will serve as a call for concrete action and stronger international cooperation.
