JEDDAH, July 15. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats met with representatives of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for the further expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to organizing a visit of Uzbek businesswomen to Saudi Arabia. The Vice Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry supported this initiative and proposed holding the first “Uzbekistan – Saudi Arabia” Businesswomen's Forum in October–November of this year.

Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to hold an exhibition of export-oriented products “Made in Uzbekistan”, as well as a “Welcome to Uzbekistan” fair, which will showcase the country's tourism potential and the finest examples of national handicraft art.

During the meeting, the Saudi side was presented with information on the modern tourism infrastructure of Uzbekistan and promising directions of tourism development. Representatives of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry confirmed their readiness to assist in increasing the tourist inflow from Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan, as well as in developing direct cooperation with the leading tourism companies of our country.
