Riyadh hosts a meeting with Uzbek female students marking the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan

RIYADH, October 5. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia organized a “roundtable” dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan, gathering Uzbek female students studying at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and King Saud University, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the large-scale socio-economic reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years. Participants were presented with information on measures to improve the well-being of the population, create new jobs, support entrepreneurship, develop human capital, as well as expand investments in the field of education.
It was noted that Uzbekistan is consistently implementing measures to modernize the education system, improve the quality of educational services, and create wide opportunities for youth to acquire modern knowledge and professional skills.
Within the framework of the round table, a discussion on the issues of supporting women and girls also took place. Special attention was paid to measures aimed at increasing the role of women in society, expanding girls' access to education, learning foreign languages, acquiring modern professions, developing professional and personal potential, supporting women's entrepreneurship, and active participation of women in public life.
It was emphasized that expanding the coverage of girls with higher education, their professional orientation and social support, encouraging talented and proactive young women, as well as expanding their participation in international educational and scientific programs are important areas of the policy being pursued.
“Roundtable” was held in the format of an open dialogue. Uzbek female students shared their views on the reforms being implemented in the country, particularly in the spheres of education, youth support and creating new opportunities for girls.
Participants put forward proposals for further strengthening ties with Uzbek youth studying abroad, wider utilization of their knowledge and experience in educational and professional projects of Uzbekistan, as well as expanding internship and practical training programs for students receiving education at foreign universities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the students expressed satisfaction with the opportunities being created in Uzbekistan for obtaining education and realizing the potential of youth, especially girls, and expressed gratitude for the attention and support provided to Uzbek youth studying abroad.
