RIGA, May 15. /Dunyo IA/.  Supported by the Embassy, the Exporters Association of Uzbekistan, and the “Trade Development Company” JSC, the “Uzbek-Latvian Business Forum” was held at the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was attended by official representatives of the two countries, representatives of business circles, heads of export-oriented enterprises, logistics companies and trade and industrial organizations, as well as potential partners and investors.

During the official part of the forum, participants were presented with information on the socio-economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan, measures to improve the investment climate, support for entrepreneurship and the creation of favourable conditions for foreign investors. Special attention was paid to the dynamic development of the industrial sector, the export potential of domestic producers and promising areas of bilateral cooperation.

In addition, Uzbek export companies held separate presentations showcasing opportunities for supplying products from the textile, agricultural, food, construction, chemical, and other industries. In addition, a visit to the Port of Riga was organized for the delegation representatives, where the entrepreneurs familiarized themselves with the port infrastructure, the capabilities of warehouse complexes, cargo storage and processing conditions, as well as the active transport and logistics mechanisms.
