Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss bilateral agenda

ТАSHKENT, May 15. /Dunyo IA/. Today, on the sidelines of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States taking place in Turkestan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our State, parties reviewed matters related to further strengthening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership.
The leaders expressed satisfaction with the dynamic growth of bilateral trade and the advancement of cooperation projects in industry, agriculture, water management and other priority sectors. Cultural and humanitarian exchanges are also expanding.
The practical implementation of high-level agreements was discussed. Particular attention was paid to measures aimed at accelerating major regional projects in energy and transport connectivity, including the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway.
Presidents also exchanged views on key aspects of the regional agenda and reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
