New areas of cooperation with Uzbekistan discussed at Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

• 336ALGIERS, May 7. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mansurbek Kilichev met with Head of the State Protocol Department of the Algerian Foreign Ministry, Mokhtar Amine Khelif and Head of the Asia and Oceania Department, Abdelmalek Bouheddou, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meetings, the current state and prospects for developing trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and Algeria were discussed.
The parties considered opportunities for establishing a regular exchange of high-level delegations, as well as holding the next (third) round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The mutual interest of both sides in strengthening the legal framework, activating investment cooperation, establishing a Business Council, and signing cooperation agreements and memoranda was emphasized.
Following the meetings, an agreement was reached to provide the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Algeria with all necessary practical support, as well as to ensure further close interaction between the parties.
