Slovakia is interested in supporting the digitalization of geological data in Uzbekistan

• 225BRATISLAVA, May 8. /Dunyo IA/. At the initiative of the Uzbek side, an online meeting was held with representatives of the State Geological Institute of Dionýz Štúr in Slovakia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues concerning the development of the strategic minerals and metallurgy sectors in Uzbekistan, the search and exploration of new deposits, the digitalization of geological data and the implementation of international standards.
The Uzbek side presented information on projects by the “Uzbek Combine of Technological Metals” (TMK) regarding tungsten, molybdenum and rhenium, as well as the production and deep processing of high-purity selenium and tellurium.
The Slovak side expressed readiness to cooperate in modernizing geological archives, creating modern geo-information platforms, implementing international standards for reserves assessment and expanding transparent access for investors to geological data.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain contact to exchange presentations and technical materials, identify priority areas for cooperation and organize expert consultations.
