TASHKENT, May 8. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation from the leading Pakistani company “Habib Rafiq Pvt. Ltd.” (HRL Group) and its international partners conducted a working visit to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the trip, the delegation held meetings in Tashkent with the leadership of the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade, the Ministry of Mining and Geology, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, “IT Park Uzbekistan”, Tourism Committee, National Committee for Sustainable Urbanization and the Housing Market and the Directorate for the Construction of “New Tashkent” City.

The negotiations focused on cooperation prospects in areas such as the “New Tashkent” project, implementation of “Smart City” concepts in Khiva and other regions, the creation of IT parks, development of the mining industry, tourism, education and personnel exchange.

At a meeting with the "New Tashkent" City Construction Directorate, HRL Group representatives declared their readiness to cooperate in urban planning, master planning, engineering and communication networks, and horizontal infrastructure development.

During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between “IT Park Uzbekistan” and “HRL Group”. The parties agreed to develop practical cooperation in IT infrastructure, technology parks, data centers, and digital services.

The delegation's visit to the Khorezm region was of particular practical significance. The parties discussed the expansion of the city of Khiva, the construction of modern residential complexes and infrastructure facilities, and the implementation of an investment project in the pharmaceutical sector. Following the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Khokimiyat of the Khorezm region and “HRL Group”.

At the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, the Pakistani delegation was briefed on opportunities in mining, agriculture, industrial zones, IT parks, railway infrastructure, airport management, and waste processing. Company representatives expressed interest in collaborating on data centers, “Smart City” infrastructure, as well as education and healthcare.

During meetings in the Samarkand region, the parties considered cooperation opportunities within the “New Shirin” city project, as well as in the sectors of tourism infrastructure, hotel construction, pharmaceuticals, agriculture and livestock farming.

The leadership of “HRL Group” also initiated the creation of an Imam Bukhari Center branch in Pakistan, specifically within the “Capital Smart City” district in Islamabad. Furthermore, the parties discussed prospects for implementing a hotel project at the Imam Bukhari complex in the Samarkand region.

As repeatedly noted during the meetings, this visit contributes to elevating cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan to a new level in urban planning, investment, digital technologies, mining, tourism, urbanization and infrastructure development, while further strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries.
