OMSK, February 23. /Dunyo IA/.  A live-streamed event celebrating the “Days of Uzbek Culture” festival, currently taking place in Omsk, was held at the “Eurasia Today” International Multimedia Center, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The online event featured participation from Feruza Adasheva, Chairperson of the Omsk Regional Public Organization “Socio-Cultural Center of the Peoples of Uzbekistan”; Alexander Tikhonov, Director of the “Russia - My history” historical park and Khojiakbar Isakov, a representative of the “Vatandoshlar” Public Foundation.

Feruza Adasheva, Chairperson of the Omsk Regional Public Organization “Socio-Cultural Center of the Peoples of Uzbekistan”, emphasized the strong interest shown by Omsk residents and visitors in the festival. She noted that the main goal of the event is to promote the richness and diversity of Uzbek culture, fostering interethnic dialogue, mutual understanding and social harmony.

Special attention was drawn to the modern multimedia exhibition, which showcases Uzbekistan’s cultural, spiritual and historical heritage, traditions and customs of the Uzbek people, as well as notable figures who have made invaluable contributions to global science, culture, art and poetry. The exhibition also highlights the achievements of New Uzbekistan and presents key tourist routes across the country.

Khojiakbar Isakov, representative of the “Vatandoshlar” Public Foundation, spoke about the Foundation’s work in supporting cultural centers and Uzbek community organizations abroad, as well as large-scale projects aimed at strengthening interethnic dialogue and promoting Uzbek culture and arts, including initiatives in Siberia.

It is noteworthy that in August 2025, the leadership of the “Socio-Cultural Center of Peoples of Uzbekistan” in Omsk received a significant collection of books, national musical instruments and traditional clothing from the “Vatandoshlar” Public Foundation and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk.

As part of the current festival, literary evenings have already been held commemorating the 585th anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi, a great humanist and the 543rd anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
