Negotiations with Heads of Leading Indian Companies held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Sardor Rustambaev, within the framework of consistent work on diversifying the export portfolio and deepening external economic ties, held bilateral meetings with the management of the Indian companies “Mehta Tubes” and “Pearl Precision Products”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The negotiations were aimed at implementing priority tasks set by the leadership of Uzbekistan to increase non-resource export volumes and introduce advanced technologies into the real sector of the economy.
During the meeting with Jayesh Morakia, the Managing Director of “Mehta Tubes”, information on the investment and industrial potential of our country was presented. Special attention was paid to cooperation in the field of manufacturing high-precision tubes and metal products.
Uzbekistan's interest in supplying finished products with high added value, as well as in studying the Indian experience in standardization and certification of exported goods, was emphasized.
The parties agreed to develop a “road map” for expanding the assortment of mutual supplies with an emphasis on industrial cooperation.
At the meeting with Shantanu Attray, Head of the Export Operations Department of “Pearl Precision Products”, prospects for promoting Uzbek products to the markets of third countries through India's logistics hubs were discussed.
The key issue was the supply of high-precision components for the automotive and electrical industries. Readiness to provide preferential conditions for the localization of joint ventures within the free economic zones of Uzbekistan was confirmed.
Following the meetings, agreements were reached on forming joint working groups, conducting online consultations, and organizing visits of Indian partners to Uzbekistan to get acquainted with the export potential of our country's regions.
The parties expressed confidence that the established dialogue will allow for increasing trade turnover, creating new technological chains and strengthening the position of the Uzbek non-resource sector on the international arena.
