PRAGUE, March 2. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Czech Republic organized a series of events in the Czech capital on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting was held at the Association of Uzbek Students in the Czech Republic with the participation of students and members of the Uzbek diaspora.

Representatives of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan conducted preventive discussions focused on fostering a responsible attitude among young people towards their studies, ensuring regular class attendance, maintaining financial discipline, and complying with the migration legislation of the Czech Republic.

Particular emphasis was placed on preventing the spread of radical and extremist ideas, as well as on strengthening tolerance and interfaith harmony.

The event was organized in an open dialogue format, allowing participants to raise questions on religious and consular matters, to which experts provided detailed responses. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Association’s library collection was enriched with religious literature and informational materials and an iftar meal was arranged for all attendees.

The delegation also visited a major construction site of “Tesla” Inc., where citizens of Uzbekistan are employed. A spiritual and educational meeting was held at the site, focusing on work ethics, adherence to moral standards and the observance of Ramadan while residing abroad.

An off-site consular reception was likewise organized. Uzbek nationals received detailed explanations regarding documentation procedures, compliance with migration regulations, registration of civil status acts and other consular services, along with practical legal guidance on addressing issues within the framework of applicable legislation.

In addition, the delegation visited the “Sulaymon” Turkish Cultural Center, where an Iftar was held with the participation of compatriots. Following the meal, Tarawih prayers were performed and during discussions with citizens, the correct understanding of religious norms, the prevention of radical interpretations and the preservation of moderate Islamic traditions were addressed.
